She Paints Sea Shells by the Sea Shore...
or... just in the art studio.
But if we were at the beach, we would paint them there too!
Mini-Saurus "C" and I were sorting her sea shell collection today
and I thought they were a bit boring.
So many white shells, so little personality.
I asked her if she wanted to pick out some of them to paint.
"Yes!" was the resounding answer.
that Mini-Saurus "C" (age 2.5) could do on her own.
I think they're fabulous!
Time to find a pretty bowl or basket so we can display them on the coffee table.

What a wonderful idea!
Now to find some seashells...
B has done this with rocks and watercolor (not a lot of shell findings in the midwest.) The nice thing is, if we forget them outside and it rains, she has a clean canvas to paint again.
love these! novi painted shells we found in myrtle beach and gave them to our family members on mother's day this past spring... everyone loves them and uses them as paperweights on their desks.
How funny - we painted seashells yesterday. They will be in my post tomorrow. Are you doing anything special with them now that they are painted? We may use some of ours in mosaics.
Those turned out cute.
I wanted to let you know that you won the "fun books for all ages" giveaway on my blog. If you'll send me your address at iluvchrisnlevi@aol.com, I'll get your books in the mail to you. Thanks for participating.
so cute!!!! We need some shells, but I think I will have to buy them at the craft store!
What a cute activity!!!
What a great idea, I totally flag all your activities for kids to do with mine, once we get back to our house. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing.
this is beyond fabulous! I love it! I think I might do this, this week with the kids! We live in so cal and there are some pretty seashells where we live!
thanks for the inspiration!
I love this idea! They really are pretty! We have so many sea shells that could use some color in their lives!
Thanks for sharing!
they are gorgeous. Such a simple thing too. We have heaps of shells here so that is a great idea.
That's fantastic - what a great idea... I have a stack of shells sitting in a bag from a recent coast holiday - now I know what I am going to do... Thank you.

so fun! we spent a lot of time painting sea shells this summer. Hope you all are enjoying the rest of your summer days!
We go camping several times a year down in Hatteras, NC and everytime we take our paint and brushes to paint our ocean treasures, its so much fun for my 5 yr old son and I!!!
This is such a great idea! I bought some shells for my daughter, but wasn't sure what to paint them with. Thanks for giving me an answer - your shells look gorgeous!
We have painted both shells and pebbles this summer. Something finally to do with all the ones that keep coming home in pockets.
I have them displayed in a large glass jar in the bathroom.
These shells look so exotic.
